    Following the revision of the CDM regulations, the benefits of design risk assessments has been recognised as being of little value. HSE have highlighted the need for designers to adopt the ERIC principle (Eliminate hazards, Reduce affects of hazards, Informing others of hazards not eliminated during the design; and Control being managed by those working with the hazards). SRM have developed a proactive process to meet the CDM requirements.

     

    This course explains the approach, benefits and with the aid of case studies enhances designer’s competencies in design risk management.
